- 1952 he started to study at l'Ecole des Beaux Arts in Lyon.
- 1959 he received the first price for painting and the diplome of l'Ecole National Supérieur des Beaux Arts in Paris.
- 1960 he designed the flag of Togo
- 1965 he received the first price for sculptur in Togo
- 1970 he was appointed as Officier de l'Ordre du Mono (Distinction Togolaise)
- 1985 he was appointed as Officier des Arts et Lettres and Commandeur des Palmes Académiques Francaises.
- 2010 Paul Ahyi died at the age of 80 in Lomé |
