The gallery commissioned an expert opinion on this small clay figure because it has a very unusual expression and was difficult to classify geographically.

The eyes appear empty and the mouth is conspicuously pointed. The ears are only hinted at. It is impossible to tell from the break where the head was originally attached to the body.
